#TruckingDiaries: The North Remembers; Aberdeen Wanderings Ep1

*Sorry about sound in a couple of clips. Couldn’t improve it*

As promised here’s the new, from 2019 trip video! Don’t actually seem to get all that far in episode 1, I just seem to talk about food, buy food, talk some more about food, be berated by Sir Bertie about nopales, cook food, talk about food then sleep and dream about chicken Kiev’s, get up for another wee (one of the great joys of middle age), eat a Babybel with a glass of milk, go back to bed, get up, cook breakfast and so on and so forth ad infinitum, my life in a nutshell.  More trucking in next episode I promise!

Hopefully you can see how I’m taking more time and putting more effort into my content, it’s even got intro and outro music, go me (just iMovie music, no one has written me a jolly jingle yet! Hint. Hint.) and that is my way of saying thank you so very much for all the support. I have big plans for my online content when I get my licence back (no idea, ask DVLA!) & I can’t wait to put it into action. Setting up some things I can do without licence so First #DayInTheLife video will appear soon (ish). The general direction I’m hoping to push my blog in is basically a bit of an online magazine sort of thing. More about other parts of the industry, more industry news, more other drivers, more for kids, more reviews & more Trucking lifestyle stuff. All in addition to now, there will still be my diaries, Cooking, top tips and advice. Anything is possible. If there is anything you’d like to see specifically please comment as I’m always very open to suggestions and ideas.

But, as I say, thank you again from the bottom of my heart for all your mental & financial support. You’ve saved me from disaster, mentally & financially. Bertie won’t dip into his colossal wealth to help the household because frankly he’s a t**t. A cactus leaf eating t**t.

See you back here at same time next week for the next part (looking like a least 3 episodes, possibly 4)

#ThrowbackThursday; Where It All Began….

#ThrowbackThursday - So if you’ve followed me for long you will already know I’ve had a rather ridiculous career working for every man and his dog, driving everything from vans to rigids to artics to drawbars to buses and coaches. I’m really proud of my bonkers career, it’s been absolutely amazing! But, my driving career didn’t start on the road, it started on a landfill, in a Moxy! For pretty my whole childhood Dad was a mechanic who drove on the side. I used to spend lots of time with him, going away in lorries or spending the weekend with him in the workshop. One job he had was for a local plant hire company and this was one of the best as back in those days when no one really cared much about H&S, I got to drive and play with machines in the yard. It got to point where I could lift engines and axles etc with pinpoint precision with the mini digger, helping Pops. Can’t dig a hole to save my life tho! One day one of the bosses saw me gently lifting the engine back into a Mox...
