DAF Review So, one of most common questions I'm asked lately is what I think of the DAF. Obviously for a long time time I've mostly driven Volvos and Scanias and before this job it was well over a decade since I last tramped full time in a DAF (for HSF). As you know though I had driven later models and hated the body XF with a passion! When the current version came out DAF seemed very confidant it would change my mind about them in our Twitter exchanges but I thought how different can it be? The answer? A lot. In some ways its like a completely different truck despite being almost identical in looks. Firstly- the gearbox. The auto on previous DAFs was a fupping disaster and everyone knew it! Show, jerky and just generally rubbish in a way no auto should be this late in the day. Have done 3 courses now with Luke,if any had been crap would have done no more,so looking forward to the next when the correct module comes up.With Luke being a driver he understands when you explain the situations a driver can find himself in,that to be frank some previous instructors did not have a scooby

DeleteA big thank you to Luke. I have been seriously lapse in doing any CPC as it’s not been required for my job. I messaged him over WhatsApp to ask questions as to how to get back on track and he not only replied immediately, he was patient and helpful with answers.
ReplyDeleteI have done 2 courses so far, my 3rd is booked. They fun, informative and helpful. As someone who is not a “trucker” I have been made to beef welcomed and included in all communication with explanations as and when needed.
It is hard to come by a trainer like Luke, he is patient and clear and is always happy to take on views of his learners and adapt to them.

DeleteJust finished my 1st course with Luke, I enjoyed the whole course and Luke done a brilliant job keeping it entertaining and informative at the same time. Makes all the other courses I’ve done elsewhere seem boring and a waste of time. I have already booked my 2nd course with Luke and will do many more in the future.

DeleteI have just completed my first course with Luke,, I found it very easy, not boring at all as Luke explains the things, we need to know very well. Cpc courses are a pain as we all know,, I find these courses with Luke and Albertš¶ of course much easier and enjoyable. Will be booking all the rest of my Cpc’s with him in the future.
