Some more old photos

How do peeps. Just a few old photos for you to peruse should you be remotely interested. One of me next to my Moxy Dumper. This was my first ever driving job, on a rubbish tip during my school holidays at the age of 15. Can you imagine that happening now! I loved it and it was great experience.

The other two are from my time at a company called The Glider. Basically a full sized coach with only 28 seats and all 5 star hotels. So at the age of 22 I gave up driving a brand new coach in London for The Londoners to head off on my first tour. It was to Norway. I even remember the date we left, 24th May 2000. Amazing job. It only lasted one summer but in that time I managed to stay in some of Europe's best hotels and did tours to Norway, Germany, Czech Rep, Slovakia, Hungary, Switzerland, Italy, Austria and France. Really quite an amazing ride while it lasted and one amazing opportunity for someone that age.

A SHORT DAF XF REVIEW

DAF Review So, one of most common questions I'm asked lately is what I think of the DAF. Obviously for a long time time I've mostly driven Volvos and Scanias and before this job it was well over a decade since I last tramped full time in a DAF (for HSF). As you know though I had driven later models and hated the body XF with a passion! EXTREME WEATHER; ADVICE FOR CAR DRIVERS

Hello peeps. As many of you will know some really bad weather is about to hit us and last over the festive period. Reading about it on BBC news the line 'give high sided vehicles plenty of room' gave me an idea for a blog post. So here it is! Many people who have very little motorway experience take to the road at this time of year. Im not claiming to be the best driver in the world, I just know that many car drivers follow my blog and lets face it the car test is inadequate at best. So all I want to do is give you some advice I learned from driving everything from cars to minibuses to double deck coaches and vans to artics in 22 different countries over the past 18 years! IN HIGH WINDS- 1. DO NOT DITHER! On motorways often if a problem occurs most car drivers first reaction is to brake. In many cases this can be the worst option!
