Happy Leap Day

Hello chums. Just a little blog entry today on this bonus day. Hope life finds you well. The studying is going well, currently learning about Statutory Interpretation. It's more interesting than it sounds!

Currently having a break in jolly old Watford Gap. The Irish reputation must be improving, two VOSA cars drove by and didn't even look! Good times indeed. Just heading to Boulogne for the morrow.

Will hopefully start the top tips videos soon, need the cash to buy the headset style camera to make it easier. Also thinking of doing some simple lorry-driver.com stickers, maybe with the #ONWARD>>> hashtag. Again the delay has been money related and these text only ones should prove cheaper. Oh and please note the new #ONWARD>>> protocol!

Anyhow time to get on with work, my Archers podcasts have finished downloading so it's time to move. Here's a couple of pics for you. An early R Series, a very tidy one at that and an old 96 vintage beauty I saw yesterday and the beautiful sunshine this morning over Snowdonia just before I headed up into the mountains. This pic certainly doesn't capture the amazingness of it but you get the idea. #ONWARD>>>

The Flexibility of In-House Training, Without The Cost

I offer you all the advantages of having an in house trainer without the cost or commitment. I will quote for your business based on how many drivers will need training over the course of a year, then you or your drivers can simply contact me when they wish to attend one of my online timetabled courses, taking away all the stress of trying to arrange up to 20 drivers to sit a course on the same day, much more flexible for your business and I take all the stress out of it. Let’s face it running a transport company is stress enough! I run daytime, evening and weekend courses, times to suit everyone. I also find this method is much more popular with the drivers. I am however also happy to quote for your online or in person courses, up to 20 at a time at times and dates to suit you at any location. Everyone who attends my courses and your office staff will be given my contact details and told I’m available at any time to help and advise as required. I’m always here to help customers, basic...

The worst ever day of my driving career

I always knew one day I'd regret putting so much online, well today is that day. I would have loved for this balls up this never to be seen but since it's all over the forums here goes. The weather was icy, it was windy and snowing. I moved over slightly because a truck was coming, the front wheel slipped into the ditch and that was that. It's the N80 at Portlaiose, bog country. I'm fine thanks to the seatbelt, I was pinned into the seat by it. Otherwise I'd be a crumpled mess in the passenger side. Or worse out the screen. We had to take the whole load off before it was recovered, by hand. It took hours. Once that was done recovery started. It took a couple of hours. I couldn't watch half of it as it was too upsetting. When it finally got back on its own feet the damage was assessed it was startling. There is honestly not a scratch on the cab or side skirts or trailer, the mirrors are still attached and unbroken. There is a hole in the diesel tank but it's...
