Trundling About The Countryside

Hello friends, sorry I’ve been so quiet, work has been manic, but I’ve just started a 4 on 4 off shift pattern which will now give me much more time for the rest of my life. Just a little video with no speaking as strictly I’m not allowed to make video but this is just driving, this is what my day on Corwen looks like. I love it as it’s 80% single track lanes and farm tracks, which most hate but I enjoy. Also I meet so many dogs it’s amazing! It’s really hard work but now I’m 4 on 4 off it’ll be so much easier cope with (5 days one week and 6 the next was killing me!). But hey, it’s all good, waking up in your own bed of a morning means it’s a great day. Have a good week all.

Today

Well I feel a bit better today having had a good sleep. I slept in a Gigantibus, or more commonly known as a Magnum, and when I opened the blinds I was greeted with an inch of snow and it's still snowing. So I've got to drive a truck I've never driven before, in snow, on untreated roads, oh and did I mention the truck is only a few months old! Today will be very much slow and steady with a good dose of nail biting!

#DriverShortage; New Video Midday Sunday

Good evening all. I hope your weekend is going to plan. Just to say there will be a new #DriverShortage video midday tomorrow talking about the proposed driving test changes and a life and DVLA update (nothing overly exciting alas). For now here’s some recent pictures of evil juggernauts thundering through town piloted by lunatics. #Shocking. Have a good evening chums www.buymeacoffee.com/lukevernon   https://linktr.ee/lorrydriverdotcom     Buy me a coffee

FREELANCE LUKE!

Hello everyone. So as many of you will know I was unfairly given the boot from my transport manager job at Virginia. The truth is I was thinking of leaving anyhow as the stress was insane. I got back on the the road on Saturday and it felt like coming home, hitting the M5 in a Volvo FH 500, radio on, stress free work, it was bliss and made me realise it all turned out for the best. Anyway, back to now. Im now a freelance driver. I want to work on my terms when I want to work. I've been a driver for 18 years and have a full clean C+E and D+E licences so I can drive coaches and trucks. I'd love a bit of coach work in the summer to keep my hand in. All up date with CPC and have a packages ADR licence. Im interested in a variety of work. Mostly local but I do want to do trips to Europe on occasion. I spent 3 years piloting a FH16 750 so I can be trusted with any truck! I have experience with many types of work. Fridges (hanging and boxed), flats, curtainsiders, euroliners, tankers,...
